Jeff Bear: I really enjoy your use of depth of field to throw the background out of focus, I need to do that more, as well as shoot from more odd angles. Personally, I do not like the filter effects of aging the photographs, but that is my opinion. (09.15.08, 10:20am)

delane and gavin: I'm a little overwhelmed. Laughing. Crying. Oohing. Aahing. That's manageable. The wondering if maybe after seeing these images no other photographers for any event (including our own wedding) will measure up was not something I was prepared for. The feeling that my everyday eyes and meager recollection might miss the extraordinary details worries me. But instead of hiring Our Labor of Love to capture the details of me at work, on the way to the store, calling my mom, I instead will look at this wedding album for inspiration to tilt my head, or crouch down, or close an eye to see what is so beautiful, exotic and intoxicating about color, light, stripes and the smiles that surround us.
