we just got back in the states after holly and jon's amazing love-filled wedding in jamaica. the night before the wedding, under the stars in jamaica, we got engaged. (the next day, an amazing wedding, the next day, someone attempted to rob us with a knife on the street, the next day we hiked to a marijuana plantation to take photos, the next two days we laid low on the beach. whew! what a trip.) today, on the fifth day of the fifth month is our fifth anniversary. on our sixth anniversary, we hope to say "i do." we. can't. wait. wishing ooey gooey sweetness and giggles and proposals under shooting stars by the caribbean sea to you all. xo, kendrick and david

we photographed salene and rj for their engagement shoot, so we already knew they had a great energy and are super comfortable in front of the camera and with each other. salene is gorgeous and when rj isn't grinning from ear to ear like he just won the lottery (hello, he did with salene), he can pull off one heck of a serious stare like a model who has been doing it for forever. one of of salene's priorities for this wedding was photography and she went out of her way to make us feel like family. i think we hugged her three times on the dance floor on our way out. you just know right away that salene and rj are important to everyone who knows them. each of the bridesmaids (and kendrick) teared up before the two even said "i do." salene takes care of everyone and she was helping everyone get dressed before she did. rj has a goofy side that he reveals every so often and makes everyone laugh. just seeing them together is a gift because they make you so happy that they've found each other. thanks for letting us tag along for such a beautiful day, you two.

these sweethearts have been together since the end of high school and they're still just as nuzzly and sweet to each other as a couple who just fell in love. we had a lot of fun wandering a beautiful spring afternoon with kelly and john. their atlanta wedding is just around the corner and we know it'll be a good one. you can listen to john's band, ponderosa, here.

this bahamas day was a beautiful wedding turned beach party. guests were instructed to pack bathing suits for the reception and the newlyweds didn't disappoint. first, courtney--who, hello, is gorgeous--was dressed like a mermaid for her vows. her long curls and sea green dress were a perfect complement against the beautiful ocean backdrop. the pair said their vows with the sound of waves and wind in the background, then had a delicious breakfast with their guests, and a several hours long beach party complete with volley ball, dancing, cupcake attacks, bocci, a private bar, and personal cigar roller, and lots and lots of laughter. this is how to do a wedding-- gather your family and best friends, throw in a beautiful day and a beautiful backdrop in a beautiful location, tell your partner you will love them forever and then party the day away. thanks, you two, for setting our wedding season off on the most perfect foot.
