shanna and richard were both english majors at oglethorpe university in atlanta. though their careers have taken them away from that original path that brought them together twelve years ago, they said their vows in the university's library. from shanna getting ready in the children's library, to paper flowers made from the pages of books, to shanna's cute tea length dress, to the guest book, which was made up of library cards each guest got to stamp and put an instant photo of themselves in, to the books shanna found at second hand shops to decorate the reception tables, to the croquet and bocce and cornhole, to the biodegradable confetti tossed at the couple, this wedding and its book-lovin' theme was simply beautiful. thanks, shanna and richard for showing us how it's done.

this wedding pretty much speaks volumes for itself. when kelly first emailed us telling us her wedding vision included music (john is in an awesome band) and inspiration from baz luhrmann's romeo + juliet (which I know by heart because it is one of my favorite movies), we knew we were in for a visual treat. we didn't imagine the wedding would be this amazing though. kelly had two gorgeous wedding dresses (why not?). king plow and bold american transformed an unforgettable ceremony room where the guests surrounded the sparkling altar on all sides into an impeccable reception room. from the posters on the walls, to the giant paper flowers made out of sheet music, to the painted guitar picks, to the altar, to the bouquets, to the bright posters, to the king of pops (himself, folks) popsicles for guests, to the dancing, to john and his band hamming it up for us while we did portraits, to kelly's gorgeous smile, this is a wedding we or anyone there won't soon be forgetting. and really, weddings are all about the memories so kelly and john are set to have the most beautiful memories of the day they said "i do." of course, our photos will help with that a little, too. ;-) thanks, you two, for your smiles, love and awesome energy. you really made this day fun for us. ps you can see kelly and john's beautiful atlanta engagement shoot here

holly and jon were wed in jamaica. there can't be a more beautiful backdrop than white clouds, blue sky and the caribbean sea. they make a beautiful couple and have such a sweet chemistry and deep understanding of each other. this wedding was unforgettable from the start, on the beach, to the finish (as you'll see these people taking dancing to another level). holly's creativity really shined with all the gorgeous details she managed to pull off impeccably despite traveling so far. the night before their wedding, david and i got engaged. holly called our room at the resort to make sure we'd arrived safely and i was still bursting at the seams to tell someone and told her. she said she got chills. so not only was this wedding unforgettable standing on its own two feet, but we feel tied to this beautiful spot and this sweet couple forever now, too. congrats, you two! we know you'll be apart for a while and we hope these photos remind you of such a beautiful day.
