shemoni + jason, documentary 09.30.10
we've said it before, this wedding was epic. shemoni and jason are epic people. their love, their energy, their huge beautiful families, their dance moves, their taste, their absolute easygoingness through an intense and eversospecial 4-day event--epic, epic, epic.

our eyeballs and our hearts were awed every moment of every hour over those several days.

this was so much more than a wedding.
thanks shemoni and jason for letting us in to your lives and for new cultural experiences!

if you haven't already, check out the dancing photos, the gorgeous portraits, and the details!

this post is dedicated solely to the exquisite details at shemoni and jason's wedding festivities. the wedding was full of warm colors and the reception that followed the next day was full of bright blues and greens and peacock feathers. it was over the top and a visual feast, as you can see. enjoy the portraits and dance photos below this post, as well! we've saved the best for last -- up tomorrow are the documentary images for this elaborate and epic wedding.

shemoni + jason, dancing! 09.28.10
shemoni and her lovely mum run a dance school in georgia, so it was no surprise that shemoni and jason's wedding was full of dancing at every turn of the four days. for their sangeet, a party before the wedding, they rented out all of opera nightclub in downtown atlanta. 600 guests turned out to watch amazing dance performances from students in the school, as well as close friends and family. the scene was amazing. it reminded me of a scene in baz luhrmann's moulin rouge--blurs of pulsating people in lush reds and vibrant blues and electric pinks swirling all over the dancefloor. it was definitely cinematic.

then, of course, there was dancing as jason arrived to see his bride for the first time at their wedding the next day--his family had a dance parade outside. then, more dancing at the full-day reception the day after the wedding. this wasn't your typical young people dance, while the older people standby, this was everyone shaking their tail feathers and tapping their toes to the beats. these were our kind of people. david even got in on a dance-off with shemoni's brother. how could he resist?

stay tuned for two more posts from this wedding this week!
