we had a lot of fun wandering atlanta with this california couple. rachel and colin are easygoing and a great reminder of how our couples spoil us with creative freedom. they didn't bat a lash when we asked them to hang out upside down for a while, or when we asked them to lay on the cold ground. they say their vows in may and it's bound to be a gorgeous, memorable day. can't wait! thanks, you two! we'll see you again when the flowers are blooming.

we spent our valentine's day working and apart. before you feel bad for us, know that we are so ridiculously headoverheals passionate about documenting life that it was a good valentine back-up. we were both in everglades city, florida documenting small town america for a long-term LUCEO book project. so while i (kendrick) wandered the city into the school and up and down the sunny streets, david was on a stone crab fishing boat for 14 hours.
