too much fun. too much sun. 03.14.11
we just got back from our first wedding of 2011 and what a wedding it was! a nontraditional dress (it was green!), a long beach party, the sound of waves crashing during beautiful vows, an amazing crowd, a devoted couple, a surprise guest musician, and the backdrop was nassau, bahamas. wow! that's hard to beat.

we've got a lot of tropical weddings lined up this year, so this was the perfect wedding to start it all.

so here's a teaser while we count my hundreds of new freckles...

p.s. no, there's no such thing as too much fun... or too much sun if you're armed with 50spf like us pasty people.

some local love 03.06.11
as you probably know, we split our time working individually for national and international magazine and newspaper clients, as well as personal long-term photo projects, and of course shooting weddings together.

well, now that we've decided to stay put in atlanta and grow some roots here (we bought a house in december), it's especially exciting to be documenting our community more and more. we've both individually been shooting for atlanta magazine for some time now and the past two issues have had some awesome spreads from awesome assignments we've shot and are proud of.
kendrick headed to ossabaw island--a place unrivaled in natural southern beauty with only a few residents--to photograph its 98-year-old f-bomb dropping, patron of the arts, converse wearing resident. you can see more here.
while david got to photograph professional boxing legend evander holyfield. check out this awesome lay-out!
no, we'll never give up our wanderlust (we're packing for a trip to the bahamas right now!), but as photographers whose training was in community journalism at newspapers, this kind of coverage of events and people right outside our own front doors will always be special and important to us.
