this wedding was gorgeous. not even a brief downpour slowed this sweet couple down (yep, they danced on the dock in the rain). maggie has a huge smile that lights up a room and dave is so easygoing, that you feel happy just being nearby them. i'm pretty sure i haven't cried more times at any other wedding -- i cry when other people cry and maggie was overwhelmed with the love throughout the day and golly, it was super ooey gooey sweet. it all took place at maggie's grandparent's beautiful house on the water in maryland. details galore, as you can see. a huge thanks to this couple, but also to their amazing wedding planner michele at green with envy events for sharing such a breathtaking view of love and joy with us.

We were in Brooklyn to shoot a fabulous park wedding (we'll share that soon) and because Anjeli keeps up with us, she reached out and asked if we could swing by to photograph her beautiful one month old son Oliver. Anjeli and Shawn were one of our favorite couples we have ever worked with. They had an amazing Irish Indian wedding two years ago and in our wildest dreams we wish to emulate the absolutely amazing dancing at our own wedding next May. This pair also made it to our annual LUCEO gallery show in NYC. We were excited to catch-up again and felt the love when we walked into their beautiful apartment and the photos we took at their wedding were everywhere. Oliver is one lucky baby (who can resist that little tuft of red hair?). We hope to see these three again.

devon and bob said "i do" in highlands, nc. highlands is a beautiful sanctuary of a town tucked away in the blueridge mountains. the day before the wedding, devon called us and said she had the mumps and she wasn't feeling well at all and we wouldn't want to take any photos of her. well, immediately, we offered her a free post-wedding shoot, but we also got brainstorming on creative photos that wouldn't focus on devon's swollen face (like we had to do when we shot a secret food critic's wedding). we were thrilled to discover when we arrived that devon was not only feeling much better, but the swelling had gone down. not only that, but the hurricane that was pounding the east coast that same day, didn't cause so much as a drop of rain on this pair's special day. this event was beautiful from start to finish. the combining of families--both devon's and bob's children--was a very important part of their vows and their celebration. it all came together so perfectly. congratulations, you two!
