amanda + mike 01.09.14
Truthfully, I knew Amanda + Mike's wedding was going to amazing the second they booked me. The entire YEAH! weddings crew (photo, video, DJ & Smilebooth) flew to St. Louis last October to be a part of their campground celebration. We brought the gals from Bash Please too, because, in Amanda's words: "I knew that if anyone could take a little campground in the middle of Missouri and turn it into the dreamiest place on earth, the girls from Bash, Please could."
Amanda and Mike have one of the most amazing families I've ever met, so it didn't surprise me at all that they included them in all their details:

"We knew we wanted our families’ stories to play a major part of the day and I’m a big on symbolism, so everything had meaning. Our invites were the ASL sign for 'I love you,' something we always sign to each other in my family. We picked the campground because it’s where my brother and I grew up spending a lot of our time and it was our late grandfather’s pride and joy. Mike and I were both given lucky buckeyes by our grandparents when we were younger, so we knew we had to incorporate that. He was holding onto his the entire day. The penny in my shoe and the baby bonnet I tied around my bouquet were both from my great-grandmother, as gifts to my parents when I was born."
Amanda's mother forwarded this side by side comparison to me after the wedding, which kind of blew my mind to see the same dress worn on two generations 30 years apart. From Amanda: "I always knew I wanted to wear my mom’s dress, so I never even shopped for another. Luckily, it fit perfectly with almost no alterations, just some mending to the lace sleeves."
This was probably one of my favorite moments of the day -- after Amanda's father saw her for the first time, he turned to her and said: "The last time I saw this dress, your mother was wearing it." tears ensued.

One of my favorite quotes from Amanda: "I once told a friend of a friend who asked what our theme was that I wanted it to be 'like a James Bond movie, if the Bond girl was a woodland fairy.'"
Seriously, the chili bar and "toasted cheeser" station may have been my absolute FAVORITE meal from all of last year's wedding season.
But wait! There's more! You can watch their video here, check out their Smilebooth photos here, and read the feature on Green Wedding Shoes here!

brandon + lily 11.14.13
Remember last year during the free wedding contest and we fell in love with all of our contestants? Well, we fell so hard that we gifted a custom DJ / video / Smilebooth YEAH! weddings package to our runners up, Brandon and Lily. They ended up also booking us for photography, as well as the signature color-dipped bentwood chairs from our pals at YEAH! rentals. It was such a joy to be a part of this wedding and help Brandon + Lily put together their dream wedding at the Elysian. Also check out the feature on Wedding Chicks today!

jackie + andy 09.30.13
Jackie + Andy's wedding is one for the books. Everything about this day was nothing short of magical (umm that SKY is pretty much beyond). This super creative couple, their family & friends had a hand in every single detail that went into making their Santa Fe wedding come together, which you can read about in detail over at 100 Layer Cake today! So honored to have been a part of this one.
